North Seattle Rainiers Select Baseball is a division of North Seattle Baseball. North Seattle Baseball is the premier competitive Pony youth baseball league in Seattle’s north end. NSB has been in operation for over 35 years teaching youth from 4 to 18 the art of baseball along with teaching the basics of life having successes and failures.
North Seattle Rainiers Select Baseball was founded due to our studies of our regional baseball both youth and select and the financial effect it has on families. We found too many good players were leaving baseball after twelve because of the costs of select baseball and those that went into select ball were paying very high fees and in many cases not getting great instruction. In 2013 we formed this very affordable select program which became North Seattle Rainiers Select Baseball. Our goal was to offer parents and players an alternative to the expensive select programs but offer better training and play in the same leagues as other select programs.
Why- Rainiers Select Baseball?
Over the last several years our Rainiers Select Baseball Program has not only been very successful in attracting quality players but the records prove it. Our teams have won mutiple state championships over the last two years.
We are a non-Profit select baseball program. You save money and receive better professional training because we take no profits from our select program. All funds go to training, the teams and their expenses. No back office money making. All coaches are paid non-parent professional or highly experienced.
98% of our players make the high school team and many go on to play college ball and we hope even further. Our group makes every effort possible to help promote those players that have aspirations to be on a college team.
In 2018 our training program will be expanded with more professional instructors. Additionally, we bring in current MLB pro’s to supplement the training.
We are not out to create a lot of teams just to bring in the Money. For 2018 we have 2-13U teams and one 14, 15, 16 and 18U teams.
Rainiers Select Baseball includes a full 5 month program of winter training at our indoor training facility and outdoor fields in North Seattle plus spring and summer league play.
(13-14U), summer league and tournaments for all teams. Our teams train with professional instructors from November to March then play in Seattle Elite or Koufax leagues and some Pony league games with potential post season play in Regional, State and National tournaments.
13U Begins games in mid to late March then summer ball June to August
In March, for those teams 15U and above, the players will generally play for their high school teams from March to May and in mid May begin playing in in the Seattle Elite league
The 14's have league play from April to June. Those in high school at 14U generally play on our 15U team or can play 14U league play if approved by their HS coach. If they miss league play due to HS they start playing ball in late May after HS ball is completed.
Our 18 team will play in Seattle Elite League with showcase and regional tournaments.
We offer an opportunity for young players at different levels of competition to join a team and benefit from this exceptional program.
We encourage you to join our program and see how your player will advance in their baseball abilities in addition to having a lot of fun.
Our mission is simple:

- Offer a select program from 13U to 18U where you save money compared to other programs because we take no profits of any kind from our select program.
- Where players receive better professional training and All coaches are non-parent paid professional or experienced coaches. All management is volunteer based.
- For those at the 13-14U level prepare them for success in High School ball
- For those at the 15U to 18U level give them the best opportunity at a very competitive level to master the game and achieve their goals during and past high school
- Most important is have fun
